The First 12 Minutes - Active Shooter Preparedness Using the Whole-Community Approach
Tom Polera

In this session, attendees will learn about The First 12 Minutes, an innovative community education program based on those who may be in harm's way. This community approach brings together fire, law enforcement, and emergency management to train people how to react proactively in an active violent incident. The program's intent is to empower people to take action by avoiding the threat, defending their lives, and treating casualties. This training creates the best opportunity for survival.
